Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year Everyone

Just wanted to basically say Seasons Greetings to everybody who is in or close to the clan and I hope that everyone gets what they want tomorrow and has a day of presents, food and laughter and may that continue throughout the new year.

Been a bit of a rough end to the year for the clan I'm aware of that but that's no reason to just give up and it won't be too long until it's May again and this clan will hit our 3rd Year Anniversary which is a brilliant achievement obviously.

We'll look to get some more league matches in 2010 and try to push on as a team, I'm sure we can do it :D But for now - Merry Christmas everyone and bring on 2010!
What this clan means to me

I've done some serious thinking in the last day or two and after just having a conversation with Davey, I've finally realised really what I love about this clan and what has kept this clan going for as long as it has and when I realised - a big smile took over my face and I still seem to have it now whilst I'm writing this. I'm not sad or upset about people leaving and I really don't know why but I'd like to post this message to them really and let them know my true feelings.

I think back over the last 2 and a half years and all the great friends I've had in this clan and how after I could have had the fucking shittest day of my life and I could come on vent with some of you and just forget all my problems and have a laugh and having fun and having my friends around is what has kept me on this game for as long as it has because the amount of times I've considered quitting altogether has always been countered with every single one of you and the times we've had.

I realise the reasons on why you lot have left and I mean I'm a little frustrated myself sometimes with the amount of time and effort we put into matches and practices and whatever and with not much improvement, let's face it we know we can all do it but when it comes down to the crunch and with the pressure on, we can't always do it and I understand it can be frustrating. But I really couldn't care less, being the best and moving up is not what I want because having you guys around has always been enough for me.

I think back to last Christmas and after everything that I went through at home and with the absolute disaster that my life was at the time and how I still managed to have a brilliant Christmas because I had you lot around to have fun with on the silly Xmas maps we played and whatever else we got up to. I remember the endless hours of staying up with some of you and playing Zombie maps, MG maps and climbing maps etc. and just being able to stay up, regardless of how tired I was. I remember a time when we'd sit making videos of Hadinkys, I remember a time when bettering OutKast was our main aim, I remember a time when we'd have a hell of a lot of servers and we'd spend most our time on Surf and had so many members. Our first time in ED where we'd thrash every one in the Entry league to only realise it wasn't really that much of an achievement, the grudges against certain people that have left in the past and impressions of certain people who I won't mention in this post ;). But mainly for me the best thing has been getting to know all of you and have that vision that we can actually get somewhere together and obviously go to the iSeries next year together which can't happen now, but was always an exciting prospect.

I know that this is the start of a new chapter for this clan and I know that some people in this clan despite probably wanting to better themselves know that the friendships formed in this team overpowers any other ambition and they will be staying, but for other ambition overpowers friendship so it's time for them to move on and find what they're looking for, but I certainly don't agree with their decisions to leave and this is why I've done this message really - to let them know where my morales lie, It's not to make you feel bad or make you think twice because whatever you want to do I'm fine with and I'm sure even though I won't make a big deal about it, how much this clan will miss you and I'm sure there will be times when you'll miss the clan as well.

I don't know what's next for us, I really don't. I can only do my best to replace what we had, but I know that whatever happens - I'll be in this clan for as long as time allows me because it means more to me than any kind of glory.

September Report

Just a little news update, for the clan to read as there hasn't been much happening of late. The clan has been fairly inactive these past couple of weeks, mostly down to people being busy with a new school/college year just beginning and there being lots of work to do. That is obviously understandable, furthermore, individuals have got problems with their computers or internet which is also a reason on why some of us havn't been on as much. I hope Ghost and Bones sort their problems out as soon as possible and hopefully myself and React will sort out our internet problems soon aswell.

The main thing that has happened of late is HD ending their sponsorship with the clan due to lack of dedicated server space. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Yokahoma for providing us a good match server, even if it wasn't for very long at all. It will also be no secret to anyone, that I'm also not too downhearted with this development as I did not have a very good relationship with HD as a community and am pleased that I don't have to be involved in anymore problems with individuals in the HD community.

Other than that, there is nothing to add, as no league games have been played recently. I'm also unsure on the future of this clan in EnemyDown as the league has had a few problems with admins, so we may be involved in another league in the near future. I can only hope that the clan will be back and active as soon as possible as I feel it is important to be training regularly and competing in leagues in preparation for next years i-Series event, which we most likely will be attending.
Destructive Double

They say that Sunday is a day of rest, however Gamers of Destruction has been far from relaxing as we have had two fixtures in Enemy Down these past two sundays. Although, we knew we were facing two opposing teams that we were expecting to beat, the pressure was still on as we needed a long awaited win as we've fallen behind in the rankings. The first match was against a more unknown team named emFire who we cruised a win against, with a big 24-6 scoreline, but controversy after the match put the win in jeopardy as there was a mix up with signed up players on Enemy Down. Luckily for the team, we were handed the win after learning that the other team broke a rule in not informing us of information that they knew pre-match.

After a successful win against emFire we looked to add to our points in EnemyDown by playing a team we have beaten in the past - [CRO]. Right from the start of the match, we were ready and prepared for the game ahead of us. The destructioN. lineup on the night was communicating well and tactically we were second to none. The game ended up with a smashing 23-7 victory for us, but could have potentially aced a 30-0 victory if we had kept consistent throughout, however the scoreline was still to our satisfaction. We have now moved up into the top 100 (98th) and I really believe with a bit of practice we should be looking to push on alot further in the near future.

Finally, I'd obviously like to say well done to the lads who have been working hard on improving as a team these last few weeks and although we have only picked up two easier wins, it's fantastic to see us playing well consistantly in more pressured matches. So well done lads and let's keep the wins coming!
